 Tiger on a Gold Leash is the third in a series of wooden hobby horses designed and created by myself for the God's Child Project in Bismarck each February. Kim Hostetter has acquired all three horses, so if you are looking to buy one for yourself, you will have to battle with her at the next Dream Maker Ball!

 "Vicious Circle" was the winner of the Drawing Award at the Presbyterian Fine Arts festival in September 2014! This piece was so much fun to do as I wanted to make a statement about people who choose to demean and criticize others behind their backs. The horse in the foreground is engaging in this behavior about the carousel horse behind (or is it in front?) of him (her?) while the horse in the background is taking it in. The pole driven through the second horse's back represents the back-stabbing that occurs all too often in society and the screaming face in the background represents my frustration with people who do this sort of thing.
This was a fun project to do, especially since my 5th grade art class had designed and drawn Hex signs last year as a class project! This sign is for a summer home (Sommerstuga) and designed much like a hex sign that you see out in the Pennsylvania Amish country. Contrary to popular belief, although symbolic, Hex signs are not pagan in nature. Hopefully there are more traditional folks out there who would be interested in a custom Hex sign of their own as I had to buy 10 Masonite circles to meet the minimum order requirements!
Kirby Pug-et was awarded First Place in the Drawing Division at the Pekin days Art Show this past June! 
Sunset Sentinel was was aslo recognized with Second Place in the Pastel Division at the Pekin Days Art Show in June.
